Charles E. Larsen, Vice Chairman, The Innovation Factory
As a cofounder of Accuitive Medical Ventures, Charles (Charlie) Larsen brings more than 30 years of operating experience, as well as expansive technical understanding and experience in the medical device industry. A true innovator himself, he holds more than 20 U.S. patents on medical devices. Charlie was a cofounder (with Tom Weldon) of Novoste Corporation where his efforts as a director and executive were critical to its ultimate success. Charlie also cofounded The Innovation Factory and serves as its vice chairman.
Through his role at The Innovation Factory, he also cofounded AcuFocus, LipoSonix, Cerebral Vascular Applications (CVA), NeoVista, NeuroNetics, Cellutions, AqueSys, CardioFocus and NovaLign. Additionally, Charlie has held positions with Cordis Corporation and Parke-Davis in senior engineering and project management roles. Charlie currently serves on the boards of Inogen, AqueSys and CardioFocus, as well as NovaLign. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
